Amish Peanut Butter Pie Recipe


A gorgeously creamy peanut butter pie with a nutty graham cracker crust!

Serves: 8-10 slices

INGREDIENTS

Graham Cracker Crust
1½ cups graham cracker crumbs (gluten free if needed)
½ cup ground almonds
½ cup butter

Pudding
1 cup cold milk
½ cup cornstarch
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
3 egg yolks
3 cups milk
3 Tbsp. butter
⅔ cup sugar
¼ cup smooth peanut butter

Crumb Mixture
1 cup powdered sugar
½ cup crunchy peanut butter
2 cups whipped toppping

INSTRUCTIONS

For the graham cracker crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 325F. Mix the graham crumbs with the ground almonds. Melt the butter and add, mixing well. Press into a the base of a 9" pie plate. Bake in the oven for 10 min. Cool.
  2. In a small bowl whisk together the cornstarch, salt, 1 cup milk, egg yolks and vanilla until smooth, set aside.
